What carpet cleaning in County Offaly usually involves
Tullamore, the county town, and Edenderry near the Kildare border are where most of the work is: family homes in estates, with carpet on the stairs, landing and bedrooms, and older houses near the town centres. Both are on the Grand Canal, and both have plenty of commuters.
Offaly is bog country, from the edge of the Bog of Allen to Clara Bog and Boora, with farms and small villages between them. Rural homes deal with dark, peaty soil and grit walked in all winter, and houses with open fires and stoves often have soot marks near the hearth. Can you get peat and soot marks out of carpet?
Often they can be lifted or lightened a lot. Peat soil and soot are both fine and slightly oily, so they need the right pre-treatment before the hot water extraction pass. Old marks that have been rubbed in may not come out completely, and we'll tell you what to expect.
