Carpet cleaning prices in Dublin: price list and cost guide
Our starting prices for carpets, stairs, sofas, mattresses and rugs, set against what other Dublin cleaners charge, plus exactly what moves a price up or down. Send a few photos and you'll get a firm price for your own job before anything is booked.

Our prices
These are our starting prices for homes in Dublin. Each one is for a typical item in normal condition: a standard bedroom with the usual furniture, a fabric sofa that's been used but not neglected, a mattress with everyday marks. Most homes pay the listed price or close to it. All prices include VAT.

- Several things in one visit are priced together as one job, which saves a second trip.
- Outside Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow the minimum charge can be higher because of travel time. We'll tell you when we quote.

How our prices work
Take "three-bed semi, living room and stairs." One version is a lightly used home with clear floors and a car parked at the door. Another has a staircase with a winder, two dogs, a cream living-room carpet with a coffee-coloured traffic lane, and permit-only parking down the road. Same description, very different jobs.
That's why every price above is a "from" price. The first version pays the list price. The second takes longer, so it costs more, and you'll know exactly how much more before you book, not on the day. The factors below are what we look at, and they're also what's worth photographing when you ask for a quote.
What sets the price
Every factor below comes down to time on site, product used, or both. The right-hand column is what helps us price it accurately, which is also what's worth photographing.

What "condition" means in practice
Most people underestimate how much condition affects a job. These are real carpets from our own jobs. Heavy soiling like this takes noticeably more pre-treatment and more passes than a carpet that's just a bit flat and dull.
Specific stains are priced on top of general condition because each one is treated individually. If you're not sure how bad something is, a photo settles it. That's far more reliable than describing it as "a bit grubby" or "really bad", which mean different things to different people.
Stairs, landings and hallways
Stairs are counted separately from rooms because they're cleaned step by step with a hand tool, not with long passes of a floor wand. Each tread and the edge where it meets the riser collects dirt. Winders (the angled steps at a turn), half-landings and runners over timber all take a little longer. If you're comparing quotes, check whether "stairs and landing" means the same thing in each one. Some quotes include the hall, and some count the landing as a room.
Hallways are often the most heavily soiled carpet in a Dublin house, because every trip in from a wet footpath goes the same way. A long hall with a grey traffic lane can take as much effort as a much bigger bedroom.
Domestic vs commercial pricing
Commercial jobs are usually priced on floor area and condition rather than "rooms". They also depend on how the cleaning has to be organised: which zones can be done first, what has to stay usable, and whether the work suits one visit or a regular schedule. Why the cheapest per-room price isn't always the cheapest job
A low headline price per room can be completely genuine for a lightly used, empty room. Problems start when that headline figure is used to win the booking and the real job turns out to need stairs, stain treatment, furniture moving and an odour treatment, each added on the day. A total for the actual job, based on photos or a clear description, is the only number worth comparing.

Ways to keep the cost down
- Clear the floors before we arrive. Rooms that are already clear are quicker to work through, and that's reflected when you tell us at the quote stage.
- Vacuum thoroughly the day before. Less loose grit means the clean goes further.
- Do everything in one visit. Carpets, a sofa and a mattress done together avoid a second setup.
- Deal with spills straight away. Blot, don't rub, and use cold water. Fresh stains are quicker and more likely to lift fully. See the stain removal guide.
- Don't experiment on a stain with lots of products. Residue and colour loss from home treatments are among the hardest problems to fix.

Pricing questions
Are the prices on this page fixed?
They're starting prices for a typical item in normal condition, and most homes pay the listed price or close to it. Larger rooms, heavy soiling, pet odour treatment or difficult access add time, so they cost more. You always get the exact total for your job before anything is booked, and a few photos are usually enough to work it out.
Is the quote free, and do I have to book?
The quote is free and there's no obligation to book. If the price isn't right for you, or you want to think it over, that's completely fine. There's no call-out fee for a quote.
Will the price change once you're on site?
It shouldn't, as long as the job matches what was described or photographed when we quoted. If something is materially different on the day, such as extra rooms or much heavier soiling than expected, we'll talk it through with you before doing any extra work, not after.
Is the price you quote the total I'll pay?
Yes. The quote covers the whole job as described, VAT included, with nothing added afterwards unless the job turns out different and you've agreed the change first.
How do you actually work out my price?
We start from the price list, then look at the specifics of your job: the size of each room, the carpet's condition and any stains, whether furniture needs moving, the stairs, and access. A typical room in normal condition is the list price; a large through-lounge or a heavily soiled hall costs more, and we tell you that when we quote.
Is there a minimum charge for a small job?
Yes. The minimum charge for a visit is €65, which covers travel and setting up the equipment, even for a single small room. Most bookings go over it anyway once two rooms, or a room and a sofa, are included.
Do stairs cost extra?
Stairs are priced separately from rooms because each step is cleaned by hand: stairs and landing start from €65, or €80 with the hall as well. Winders, extra steps and runners make a difference, so a photo from the bottom of the stairs helps.
Do pet stains and odours cost more?
Yes, because odour treatment is a separate job from a standard clean and uses extra product and time. It starts from €35 per affected area. Tell us where accidents have happened and how often, and we'll include it in the quote rather than adding it on the day.
Is it cheaper to have carpets and a sofa done in the same visit?
Doing everything in one visit saves a second trip and setup, so it's worth mentioning everything at once. We'll price it together as one job.
Does moving my own furniture before you arrive change the price?
It can. Rooms that are already clear are quicker to work through than ones where heavy beds, sofas or wardrobes have to be moved carefully. If you can clear a room beforehand, tell us when quoting and it'll be factored in.
Can you quote from photos, or do you need to visit?
Most domestic jobs can be quoted accurately from a few photos and a description. For unusual or larger properties, or where condition is hard to judge from photos, we might suggest a quick look in person, but that's the exception rather than the rule.
How quickly will I get my quote?
We reply during working hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Photos sent on WhatsApp are usually the quickest route to a firm price, because they answer most of our questions in one go.
When do I pay, and how?
Payment is taken once the job is finished, not upfront. We'll confirm the payment options that suit when you book.
